Short version: we use the few cookies it takes to keep you logged in, remember your settings, and understand whether the product works. No advertising, no selling your behaviour, no third-party ad networks.
Guests don't need an account to book, so for most people The Queue sets only a couple of essential cookies and nothing else. This page explains all of them.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage — work the same way. We use the word "cookies" to cover all of them.
The cookies we set
Strictly necessary
These keep the service working and can't be switched off. They store your login session, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, balance traffic across our servers, and remember that you've seen this notice. They don't track you across other sites.
Preferences
When you pick light or dark mode, or English or German, we remember it on your device so the next page looks the way you left it. These stay until you clear them and are read only by us.
Analytics
We use [Platzhalter: privacy-friendly analytics, e.g. Plausible] to count visits and see which pages help and which confuse. It's configured to avoid cross-site tracking and to [Platzhalter: not set identifying cookies / aggregate data]. Where the law requires consent for analytics, we ask first and you can decline without losing any functionality.
What we don't do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No selling or sharing of your browsing data with data brokers.
- No social-media tracking pixels embedded in the product.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — every major browser lets you do this per site. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the service (you may not be able to stay logged in). Where we ask for analytics consent, you can change your choice any time via the Cookie settings.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date. Material changes to analytics or consent will be flagged in the product.
